I tried searching but the word keys comes up so often I was pulling my hair out.

So anywho, does anyone know of any aftermarket keys that don't suck? Probably my only complaint I have with my tractor is such a small but aggravating thing, the slot on the keys is too small for 90% of key rings. Causing them to twist and jamb on the ring. I know its a minor thing, and I could just use the key without a ring or a chain, (I segregate my equipment keys anyway), but I need a key ring.

Since a I was a boy I have a habit of setting things down and walking away without even realizing I set it down. Many thousands of hours have been spent searching for keys, phones, or coffees and I'm getting worse as I age. I require a key chain to make my keys stand out.

So what are yalls solutions? Any aftermarket keys or perhaps a small but heavy duty key ring thay actually fits in that stupid slot? Help a 35 year old man with the memory of a 75 year old man out!

I drill out the hole or slot to make it work. That’s always been my solution.

I “think”, that for a given series, the keys are all cut the same and can be bought by the half dozen for mere dollars a piece on eBay, etc. Could get a spare or three and give @yorkies77 solution a shot. For my B and L, the key ring holes seem to fit normal key rings (the round, spring loaded sort).

I have put the the key on a small key ring and then put that on a larger key ring.

option....Bypass the mechanical key, install a 'Wifi relay', use 'smart phone app' to run the tractor.

a 1" split ring holds my 4 keys...house,truck, Kubota, A-C.

I do the same as Biker1Mike with the small ring on a big ring thing. I have a bunch of keys that are associated with various things on rings in groups: work keys, keys to cars, keys to equipment, keys to houses, keys to barns/sheds/outbuildings, keys to trailers, keys to camper, etc.

Depending on what I’m doing and where I’m going that day, I load up a screw lock carabiner in the morning with the keys I need. Also has the advantage if I don’t want to shut the tractor/truck off to open a shed door, I can unlock the carabiner and get the shed key off easily without turning off the tractor/truck.

If I put ALL my keys together at the same time, I need two carabiners and it’s about 3lb to 4lb of keys so I prefer to not carry all of them ever unless some weird circumstance makes it necessary.
