Kevlar Snow Socks?

It's that time of year to switch the FEL with the snowblower and I got that bad feeling in the pit of my gut when I opened the storage box that has the tire chains. It made me think of struggling to put those babies on my B3200 when it's cold and dark.

Today I ran across and article on Kevlar tire socks. I felt like I must be living in a cave because I never heard of them but a quick check of the Internet indicates that they are pretty common for cars, trucks, buses and even forklifts and snowblowers.

My question is has anyone used them on a compact tractor?

The Consumer Reports review made pretty much the same complaints as tire chains..... PITA to put on but do their job.

I researched them a bit further and although it is possible to estimate what size would fit a specific tractor tire it appears that the various Kevlar sock manufacturers recommend against tractor use for some reason. Also many of the online reviews of car use indicate that the socks are not very durable and tear almost immediately. Stay tuned I guess.

I came to the same conclusion as JA. I went with rubber tire chains after picking the brain of another forum member, he had several years experience using them. Rubbertirechains.com has tractor tire sizes. Mine should be here shortly and I will post my impression/experience.
