I'm looking for something to wear on my head. I would like it to protect my hearing while doing so. I'd also like to inject music in, somehow (BT would be nice, but I have a dongle I could plug in if need be). I have a nice set of Ryobi ear muffs that I can listen to music on, but they don't keep my head very warm. I also considered wearing my snowboarding helmet, as it's pretty warm and has headphones built in (as well as a multitude of headphone/beanies purchasable on the web), but that wouldn't do alot to protect my hearing.
Any ideas?

I have a set of blue tooth headphones (BlueDio) that with a beanie over them your ears will sweat if it's over freezing, :D works really well for running tractor or bobcat. ;)

Seriously thou, Snow machine helmet is the way to go. You usually can find one at a garage sale, but only use it for blowing snow. You don’t know the history of it and the integrity of the shell could be compromised.

I'm probably half deaf so the noise doesn't bother me. But I have 1 of those superinsulated Carharts. Then wear a thin face mask and ski goggles. Then hood goes up.

I used a snowmobile helmet frequently. My opinion of music is one earbud. Other ear is for tractor noise and or traffic or anything that may be heard. Is a safety thing.

This won't help your ears but if your cores warn everything else is.
http://www.revzilla.com/product/firstgear-heated-jacket-liner I have been using these for the past 5 winters. Bought it for the motorcycle but works great on the tractor.
Bought one of the Milwaukee heated sweatshirts last winter that has a battery pack. Its about worthless. Not enough heating elements and the battery life stinks.

i use a beanie with ear buds and Stihl ear muffs over the top, nice and warm. Keep the tunes low and you can hear what is going on around you for safety reasons. Like it connected to my phone so I don't miss any calls while out on the tractor.

I'm not particularly a whiskey (or whisky) guy. Soco is, eh, OK. And cinnamon schnapps... I don't think so. Peppermint schnapps is where it's at. Some Yukon jack permafrost has kept me warm on a few cold UP nights before...
