I just got my BX 24 from a dealer here in Virginia. I am a contractor and have been renting the BX series and bit the bullet and purchased one.

I used it for 3 1/2 hours back filling a foundation and digging up one root. As it sits I. My driveway in the trailer there oil or Hydrolic fluid making a small pool under the engine. I checked the drain plug. And can't really see any obvious sign of the problem? The dealer I purchased it from is over an hour away. Any Advise would be great?

Could you post pic's of the underside of the engine from both sides and the front, please ? To get the shot from the front, you may have to raise the FEL to get a good line of sight. I'll try to help if I can get a better look.

Your dealer may have just serviced your machine before the sale...

Look at the engine oil filter for weeps...
Look at the two hydraulic filters underneath for weeps...
Look at the oil drain nut on the bottom of the engine pan...
Look at hoses and where they attach. A hose may have been replaced...

I just had my machine repaired. They did a great job of gluing my upper rear end plate on but the large plumbing that carries hydraulic fluid to the rear end attaches under the driver seat: that was weeping under pressure. Tightening it 1/10th of a turn solved the leak.

Congrats and welcome...

I just went out to the garage and had a look under my BX24...
above the area where your oil stain is, from the left side I see the engine oil pan drain plug, and the hydraulic lines going to the steering rack (maybe wore thru from rubbing on something).
From the right side I see the engine oil filter.
You're gonna have to have a close look, wipe up anything that's wet, let her run for a few minutes & see what's dripping.

If you have a very slight hyd. leak it is often difficult to determine where it is coming from. I clean the expected area real good. Then take a single layer of paper towel and wrap it the best I can around the clamp, filter, or whatever is the suspect, and apply tape to hold it. Use the machine and keep monitoring the paper towel. Soon it will absorb some oil, and you're getting closer to the problem.

This works real well also with plumbing in the home. Repair a faucet or replace a shut off valve, simply lay a piece of paper towel under the sink and keep an eye on it for a couple of days. One small leak makes one good sized spot on the towel.
