Just can't figure what's missing at the end of the governor shaft on a V1505 engine.

It looks as if only one bolt hole was used and I've looked for a freeze plug looking disc but to no avail. I just can't figure it out. I sure don't remember taking anything off.

Normally that is where a hydraulic pump would attach, or it could also be a fuel pump attachment in some uses.
A metal blocking plate is normally used when there is no need for that drive.
But a metal or rubber plug that fits the hole could be used too.

Thank you for taking the time to look at and reply to my question. As it turns out the machine shop may have removed a rubber plug but forgot to give it back... I've ordered another one.
