I just picked up a super clean B5100e. I believe it's a 1984 as it has a mid deck mower, but it appears to be driven off the front PTO so I'm not sure if it's actually earlier. I have it stored somewhere else until I can get it to my new house next week so I don't have a serial number right now but I'm hoping I can figure out an exact year from that.

A couple questions I have that I'm hoping someone can help with. Any ideas how to "pin" the deck up so that I would be able to use the 3pt hitch without the deck raising and lowering? And speaking of 3pt hitches, anyone know of a kit that is in stock somewhere that would work to add one? This was a 2 owner tractor that mostly was used to mow grass and pull a self powered tiller, so I don't think it's ever had one.

Hello TriBeard,

Here is a link that should provide you with information on your tractor:

Good luck with this "new to you" Kubota.

Thank you for the welcome. I'd found that manual and read through it, but it didn't mention a part number or anything for the 3pt hitch "kit", just that it was an option from the factory. I went to the dealer today and they were not able to look up a part number, at least from the service desk. Are the linkages universal (or nearly so) or do I need a tractor specific kit?

Hello TriBeard,
There are three-point kits all over the internet claiming to be universal, or claiming to be a correct fit. I checked Kubota parts, and didn't information specific to the three-point for your tractor.

The only thing I can suggest is to buy the best reviewed or recommended thee-point kit for your machine and get a money back fitment guarantee. You might try a three-point "will it fit" question on this forum.

Again, good luck to you.
