Yemen?? Maybe.. I've been in a boat yard south of Jazan, Saudi Arabia a very short distance from Yemen. It had the same background of metal roofing, and SAND. I've lived for a few years in countries that were mostly Sand. Lots better than Mud... I've seen people working on the sidewalk tearing apart cars, tractors, motorcycles and more, in the three countries you highlighted. Amazing people, just Getting Stuff Done.

Because "Joe" is an interesting character and we have witnessed or heard many of his (different) ideas.

I have met many Interesting Characters, some of them 'famous' , and I feel I have absorbed a lot that matters.. far more than I ever would have discovered talking to myself.

Sigh... Everything is relative...

Couple of my friends I met in Egypt were refugees from the civil war in South Sudan, at 10 to 14 years old, in a camp in Kenya, with no wallet and little food. But they learned stuff by themselves and never stopped..
