My hired man came in last Monday
Said his girlfriend went to a company meeting on Thursday before and over the weekend came down with covid. Tuesday he texted to say he wasn't feeling the best.
By Wednesday I had a none stop headache and runny nose..
End of work Thursday I had chills bad, like a leaf in the wind. Friday tested positive.
Slept in the recliner most of the day. Saturday worked half a day and today worked half a day and rested. Still tried and feel crappy. My girlfriend took the sofa for two nights and still hasn't had any signs of covid.
My older sister retired for two yrs went to work at a new grocery store in New Hampshire to get out of the house.
Looks like she has covid now...
Wear your masks.

That’s unfortunate. Hope you feel better soon.

I think now, though, with vaccinations Covid has become a lot like the flu. You may get it, or you may not, you just never know. At least now it doesn’t appear to be any more serious than the flu has been for a long time.

Just my gut speaking here… Don’t know any of this statistics…

We’ve got a lot of COVID cases at work.

Of 5 people in my own office, I’m only one not contracted it. Some have done couple times.

If you need to knock that crap out quickly might try Paxlovid. I know several folks first hand who used it and were back to gelling well quickly.

I've not had one shot yet, and have not gotten Covid. *shrug*

Edited to add- I have had CRPS Stage 2 (also known as RSD) since 2015. I've had Shingles since Dec 2018. My Central Nervous System is whacked, so I chalk my not getting Covid to that. My PCP has been baffled.

Covid is just another seasonal flu. Take your vitamins and all will be well. Vitamins C and D along with 25 mg of Zinc will knock it out fast. Of course there will be disagreements here on this but keep civil.

Covid affects everyone differently, my wife and I came down with it at the same time, she recovered in 2 to 3 days, I was wasted for about 3 weeks. Yes, we both had the Fauci shots at the same time.

I did have a flu shot the beginning of Oct
But didn't want another covid shot.
I had the covid shot. Two yrs ago.
Went to the Grand Ole Opery...
Two days later I was toast. Same for my girlfriend.
I don't think the shot stops it.
In years past I've had the flu shot and still get the flu.

I believe I had COVID in Dec. 2019. Caught it from my kid. Had one rough night in a recliner.
Antibody test 3 months later showed I had it. My Doctor argued with me about getting the shot; he said my antibodies would not protect me against this virus and it could likely kill me. I didn't budge.
To the best of my knowledge, I haven't had COVID since, but had been around a lot of people with it.
I have a close family member in a nursing home. A lot of the residents got it this year. I don't think it is as serious now as it was at first.
COVID nearly killed my doctor last year. He was on O2 for about 6 months. He is working now, but still has lingering effects.

Like my dad used to say, "wash your hands and don't pick your nose" 😆
I know it sucks for those that have had it. My wife did, and I lived with my dog in the RV in the driveway for a week. Made her food and stuff but didn't wear the hazmat gear. I made it unscathed. This whole mask n shot every 6 months is a real money maker IMO. People just need to stay home if they have any sign of illness. I don't want any of it- flu, cold, VID, whatever. Sheesh.

That’s true that Covid has become less virulent now and is more like a seasonal flu. It’s vastly less dangerous now than in 2020. Like the flu it still sucks and makes you feel awful for several weeks. And like the flu, it does still kill some people. Despite the similarities, it is a different virus than the flu.

No vaccine works in just 2 days. Most illnesses take more than 2 days to develop after exposure. Odds are you had it before you had the shot.

I'm a first responder in one of the poorer areas of a major metropolitan city. Covid was running rampant, I was responding to 5 or 10 serious cases every day. The city launched a mobile vax program in our area, taking the vaccine to individual apartment buildings. Within 2 weeks I noticed the run count start to fall off, within a month we were running one or two a day -- generally people who didn't get or recently got the vaccine.

We still see it now and we do see it in people who were vaccinated at one point, but the cases are usually much less severe. I personally caught it some time after my 2nd booster, when the variants started to dominate. I felt tired and sore for a day or two, like a mild flu. Took the test just for the hell of it since we had them and tested positive.

That's not a scientific study -- people who don't believe in vaccines don't generally believe studies anyway -- but just my own personal observations from the field. I don't think Covid is going to go away. I think we'll see annual flare-ups, just like the flu. The other day I got my flu shot in the right arm and my Covid shot in the left. I think it's going to be an annual ritual. I might still get it, but it won't kill me.

Get well soon.

Everyone else, forget all of things we were told about Covid and the vaccines. Most of it was made up with factual information actually suppressed. If you want to know the details, go on Twitter/X.

If you don’t want to know the details, that’s fine, too. Most healthy people will recover from the latest strains with typical treatment for respiratory illnesses.

However, any cold/flu can be really bad if you don’t follow standard methods like resting, plenty of fluids, and by all means see a Dr if you feel you are getting really sick. If treatment was prioritized over not getting it, everyone would have been better off.

Covid is an purposly engineered bad flu with the added bonus for China, Billy Gates and Obama and others cashing in on experimental DNA altering drugs.

This is bigger than global. They killed people for power, money, and control. And altered peoples DNA. It"s GMO for humans with "vaccines".

NIN... Head like a hole. Black as your soul. I'd rather die. Than give you control.

Over my dead body would I take the jab. You guys are sheep.

"Wear a mask" someone said. I"m laughing my ass off. My, you are so mislead.

Edit: Yeah, I had the engineered strain of covid. twice. First time it was bad. second time was a bad cold. My brother died of covid in 2021. But he actually died because they outlawed Ivermectin. Big Pharm and the big players wanted to exclude that cure.

You hit the nail on the head. It is not a conspiracy theory anymore. It is fact and anyone that is awake and thinking with even one brain cell can see it.

Anyway, this is going to start a war with those that took the shot. They will never get it. They drank the kool-aid. They just don't get it. They never will so it is a futile mission to convince those that drank that they were duped.

Off my soapbox now. Peace be with all. Amen.

Another virus that is going around in this neighborhood is RSV. Similar symptoms to COVID-19, and I don't know much more about it than I don't want to contract it. As for vaccines, I am a believer, and I was one of the very first to have gotten the polio vaccine back in 1959 and got the COVID-19 shot when it first came out. So far I have had 5 COVID-19 shots, can't begin to remember how many flu shots, and a host of other shots in my lifetime. I have had a couple of rounds of shingles vaccines but got shingles prior to getting the shots. I have never gotten sick from any of the shots, It is a personal choice in life that we all make. Some choose to smoke and die of lung cancer, and others contract the disease and have never smoked a dy in their life. Some people lead a healthy lifestyle and get run over by a bus. Another example is religion, there are a lot of religions to choose from, and who is to say that the one you pick to follow is the right or wrong one? Some choose to denounce all religions, and they have no religious beliefs. Are they wrong? It is not for me to pass judgment on others. Do as you please, it is your body, your mind, your life. Enjoy it the way that you want. As long as you don't infringe on the rights of others, life is good. I believe that we are all born with a moral compass, and where that compass points us is our choice to make. Pick the right direction and you will have a happy life, pick the wrong direction, and you might wind up in prison along with others who made the wrong choices in life.

I look at the data that I see firsthand. I have data on a good number of friends and relatives ranging from 6 to 86 years old. Those that got vax either didn't get covid, or had "mid level cold" type symptoms for 2-3 days. Those that didn't get the vax range from barely got sniffles to in the hospital and nearly died. Those in the hospital ranged from around 50 to 75.

Now that it's been a while some of the non-vax folks have had it 4 or 5 times and the recent iterations have been pretty mild since they are effectively vaxed at this point having survived previous cases to get antibodies. It's just gone around my vaxd family again with three of us each being modestly sick for a couple days.

The origins of covid are up for debate, and I think the evidence for a lab leak is probably the strongest, but as far as I'm concerned the efficacy of the vax is clear in the form of very few severe cases in vaxed population.

I'll note that with the flu I've got the shot regularly and not had the flu except for one year when I missed it got the flu and it knocked me on my ass for two weeks and I was about 30 at the time.

I work for a university and my building is attached to a very large hospital. Everyone here is constantly going to/from the hospital for labs or meetings all day long so germs are spread easily. Not to mention I am constantly working with med students all day long. And then to top that off, my GF has twin 12 year old boys who drag stuff home. It seems like I am ALWAYS sick!!

By now, everyone has "data". How they interpret it is quite different. I also know people who have got Covid from vaxed people and some who say they got it from nonvaxed people. Who's to say which is true.

I know a lot of people who were fully vaxed and have had Covid over and over. Some had mild cases and some haven't. Likewise, I know people who haven't been vaxed, and some have mild cases and some do not. Is the number of people getting it accurate? I doubt it. A lot of people are asymptomatic.

In my "circle", there doesn't seem to be any significant difference in cases between the vaxed and nonvaxed although only the vaxed have had vaccine side effects.

If you've already been vaccinated, then it probably won't hurt to keep getting your boosters. Likewise, if you haven't been vaccinated and are doing ok, what is the point?
