Yeah well she inthe garage tucked in for the night,,, but the BX was grumbling some when I closed the doors,, soo who knows.. Yes I will get some porn up as soon as I can find my camera,, no I dont have a fancy phone,, and remember how to load it up ,,but I will get some ,she is a little dirty cause I did have to play with her, a little bit. I do know learning how to use the grapple is going to take some time and I have to figure out a way so my leg isnt into the lever all the time,, one step one day
It does take a little time to get good enough with it to get its full capabilities out of it. I’m a lot better with mine than I was to begin with (if I rip up the ground now I probably meant to) but I had no experience with a real loader and it’s an incredibly useful implement immediately (particularly for those of us who ain’t 20 any more). Limbing a felled tree then running down one side of it with the grapple piling up the limbs and picking them up a pickup load at a time with no effort past pushing a peddle and fiddling with the loader valve is just awesome. Taking a junk tree that’s no good for firewood that’s fallen across a path and cutting into three or four big chunks and hauling them off in 15’ section limbs and all instead of cutting it into man sized pieces is incredible. Ripping down a 40’ x 6’ railroad tie retaining wall and piling up the scrap in about an hour without ever leaving the operator seat was almost unbelievable.

Nothing like a grapple and they’re really not difficult to get good with. Heck, after a little a little instruction, encouragement, and practice my ex-city girl wife uses ours while I run a chainsaw. If a 51 year old girl who first got on a tractor less than a year ago can run a grapple competently, I don’t think you’ll have any problem getting good at it really quickly.

If you’ve not had one before, congratulations!

I'm working on it I'm workin on it,,,, ;)
I didnt do much yesterday with the new orang beasty.
I was putting care packages together for the MEU ( Marine Expeditionary Unit ) they wont get them for Xmas but they will get them.
You know stuff, like razors and tooth past and brushed, the kind of kit one most always forgets about, and snacks jerky and slim jims you know that kinds of stuff you can fit in to a USPS flat rate box. And yesterday, when I went to the PO, I found out there has to be a coustoms form filled out for each package. YEP listing everything inside name address e mail all kinds of crap. SOOOOOO if you are going to mail anything to an APO or a FPO you will need a coustoms form. So that took a bit of time had to come home and fill the forms out then back. The world is changing never had to do that before.

Gosh skeets, good for you man!

If I were to buy one tomorrow, that's it.

Remember to check fluids after a little run time. Especially HST fluid and front axle.

My BX2360 burped when new, took about a quart to top off hydraulic fluid. Front axle was low too, which seems to be the norm.

Nice looking tractor and green pictures Skeet’s. You will enjoy it. You are forgiven for being slow with pictures with all the good work you are doing with your packages. Good Man!!

Skeets - -

Went back to drool over your pics again....you did a great job with them, by the way.... :geek:

Looks like it has telescoping stabilizers. Very nice feature over the turnbuckles we both have on our BX2360's.

The MMM looks like a suspended deck versus the ground-contact decks many B's have?

The front anti-scalp wheels look just like mine and probably yours.

The rears are different though, are they ground contact, or still supposed to be suspended?

If so, is it kinda like a hybrid between suspended and ground contact?

I like the suspended deck over ground contact for my place...too many steep and changing slopes...

I think full ground contact would get beat up pretty good.

You can't beat the SSQA loader....so often I'd like the the loader on, but just drop the bucket for mowing.

I have many uses for forks too.

It's too steep here to mow with it all on...I'd be wheels up if I did. 🙃

B2601 is suspended, B2650 was ground contact (and that's now an LX). The 72" decks appear to be ground contact, I guess. And I think the telescoping stabilisers are standard, I added them to my BX2350 after market, and to be honest the after market ones were a bit better than the Kubota ones - the pins are fiddly on the Kubota. First world problems though I guess.

Well L for right now yes, there is going to be a learning curve so untill I get real comfortable, and see about making a couple of mods the little beasty is going to stay where she is. I might see if the SIN is interested, he has a little craftsman and hills not so good when it is damp, or my nephew they bought Moms place to settle the estate and that is all hills, but for now shes not going any place. Hell in 20 years you might see it as a barn find,,,lol

Yep I took your advice and went all over it this morning,, I was supprised the dealer had greased everything, everything was topped of and even the lug nuts were torqued right,, willl check them later when things start to wear in. One thing found interesting is the LP 54 inch grapple has no grease fitting. But I did get to play with things and learn a few things this morning as well,, so its all good for now

Skeets you might want to put some protection on your front guard to keep limbs from poking through your front grill and lights.

Well skeets, I stopped and looked at a B2601 TLB this morning.

Didn’t get into any nitty-gritty as far as pricing, etc.

Salesman was, well, a salesman....but nice enough guy. Works for new owners of local dealership. I drive by it twice a day going to work.

He said it would be about $27k as it sat, or about $20k without the ‘hoe.

Guessing he’d give me very little to trade my BX2360, even with FEL, MMM and front blower. I would likely keep it for mowing, if I do anything.
