Is there anything to tune up?

My 2003 BX2200 runs great. The only issue is when I use the front blower, it will bog down in heavy snow. I know this is normal, but it seems to bog down more than I remember over the last few years. I have around 800 hrs. on the tractor. Besides the normal filter kit, is there anything to "tune up" on a diesel? I was thinking injectors or glow plugs, or anything. I am still learning diesel. Maybe I am imagining it, but it seems like in the past several years, it had way more power when blowing...maybe it was just lighter snow, who knows. BTW, no binding in shafts, linkages, or blower. New chain, well oiled, everything greased. Thanks in advance.

Does it smoke black when it bogs down?
If it does, boosting the Cetane (think of it as octane in gasoline) will help. Second on valve lash adjustment too.
Could possibly need a injector refresh, but not very likely.

Thanks for all of the replies. I will look into the valves. I don't see any smoke when bogging down. I remember that happening with one batch of fuel before, but this batch seems good. Maybe I am just expecting too much out of 22 hp, and I could have just been so impressed by the tractor when I got it, that I made it seem like it had more oomph! In a gas engine, there are so many things that effect performance....plugs, wires, distributor, carb/inj, etc.. Just seemed like I had to be missing something, but I guess not on a diesel. Thanks again.

I really notice a huge difference between blowing light fluffy snow and a heavier wetter variety. This year we had lots of heavy snow. I use low gears so I don’t push my little BX too hard. Try going about 20% slower, see how much of a different it makes
