I was happy with my Homestead Pinnacle series box blade and they make grapples too, but they still have the "pay, then wait" program going on.

However; they are claiming only a 3 to 4 week wait, so you would be well within the "Credit card cancelation" window.

They also give a 10% veteran discount (y)

I never received an email from EA and I've bought a grapple, box blade, land leveler, tooth bar and tractor weights from them. :cautious: Not only that, I've always spoken well of EA, even during the financial $hit storm. I guess they don't want my business.
I've purchased a few items from them as well and I also have not received any emails from them.

Maybe their logic is that they don't need to convince current EA equipment owners of anything. Perhaps they assume that we know the quality of their products and it's those who haven't bought from them that need to be won over.

Without knowing about any issues with EA, I ordered an EA Xtreme Duty 84" box blade on August 26th. I thought I read online from a review that their lead time had dropped to 3-4 weeks. Fortunately I chose the "pay later" option. I emailed in late September asking about the lead time and got no response.

Since I hadn't paid for it yet I didn't get too bothered.

I think I called a few weeks later and spoke to someone who shuffled some papers and said he was looking at the production schedule and that my box blade parts where cut and waiting to be welded. Made it sound like a couple more weeks.

Finally got a call a couple weeks ago the item was going to ship soon. Called back a week later and gave them my CC #. The blade shipped on Dec 16th and arrived at the freight terminal/I picked it up on 12/18

So just over 16 weeks from the date I ordered it until the date it arrived.

Hmm... 16 weeks( 4x longer than the 'lead time' ) is about 4 months, so more than a 'season'. You ordered in the Fall, got it in Winter.
Just in time to 'rearrange the snowflakes' !!!!!

Always wonder what people do waiting for their implements to come ? Being able to delay a project for 2-3-4 months must be nice......sigh.

Indeed. I originally bought the box blade to fix/maintain the driveway due to some significant wash-out.

The timing ended up not being the end of the world ONLY because my barndominium build was slightly delayed and then I had to have my excavator come back out anyway to add a whole bunch more gravel around the building. So he took care of leveling/grading the gravel and fixing the driveway.

I bought the box blade so I could do that myself and it would have been really annoying to pay a contractor for something I could have done with the box blade had it been delivered in a more timely manner. That said had it come a week early would have been really nice. Now we got dumped on with snow and I am not sure I can get truck+trailer up the steep driveway to get it in the barndo.

Now... It may as well have not come til spring... That's probably when I'll use it for the first time
