Interesting Farmall Tractor

Saw this picture on my phone. It was in a parade at the Knox county fair in Ohio. Can anyone tell me what this special Farmall Super A was designed to be used for?

Apparently it was designed to mow around Christmas trees. The second link above is mostly about the other odd Farmall retrofitted for fire fighting, but there’s a quote buried toward the end of the text in which the daughter of the owner of the Christmas tree tractor explains a little about it.

Seems like an offset mower on the three point would be more practical.

Dang, and I thought that I had seen most all the tractors out there. Every August there is a farm and tractor show called the Fly Wheelers festival and they have a parade of tractors and I've not seen that beast there yet. Very cool. Now if I had that rig, I would hang one of those egg-shaped basket chairs that hang from a chain. Take the wife for a ride to town and get an ice cream, or a beer.

3-wheeler, high COG, no ROPS, probably no seat belt, exhaust at face level. Must be before lawyers got involved.

Got some heavy duty wheel weights on it though. Mint looking machine, nice restoration.

I saw similar Farmall tractor on Classic Tractor Fever on RFDTV several years ago.

Certainly is unique. Neighbor won’t have one…

If it is indeed for Christmas Tree farm, it must serve an additional purpose,otherwise it wouldn't serve any better an offset mower.

I’m 93% sure that the example on RFDTV was shown actually trimming trees, or at least mimicking the activity.

I’ve been around old tractors for many decades.

That’s the kind of thing that would stick in your memory…..
