Installed new BXpanded straight bar / wear edge

I purchased this by accident (wanted the piranha tooth bar) Someone mentioned it's good for plowing snow on pavement and prevents bucket wear.

So I checked my bucket and after only one winter, the edge was getting buggered up! So I decided to keep the straight bar...

I ground the edge smooth, then painted it before mounting the bar

Looks good! Just a question in mind: is there anything that prevents the bar from snapping upwards? The two mounting bolts may act as a pretty good hinge.

The flat bar fits under the bucket at least 2 inches aft of the lip. No way it will move upwards.

Today I tested it by lifting the front end off the ground on the edge - no shifting, no movement...

That's a nice looking bucket blade. It's a must have IMO if you plan to do any real work with a bucket on concrete or any hard surface. Money well spent.
