Installed DuckDuckGo yesterday

Because Goggle likes to track your habits I decided after a couple recomendations to install DuckDuckGo as my default browser. Interestingly, it also rates websites and gives this site a 'D' rating.

No more Goggle tracking for me. Don't need to track and catalog my browsing habits.

An example of the slant offered by Google...

Google "Qanon." You are met with pages of "conspiracy theory" links.

Now, search DuckDuckGo for "Qanon." Notice the vastly more centered and even-handed search results?

You have your wires crossed. Duck Dynasty and DuckDuckGo are 2 different things. I see it also has a built in ad blocker.

So far, so good. I was surprised I could install it. I really don't have complete control over this laptop. My cousin in metro Chicago really controls it, not me.

DDG is a great browser. Firefox makes a privacy browser called Firefox Focus that's very good.

That is on your device (phone/computer). There is a fire logo which you can tap which clears the browser history on your device. DDG say they don't store your history on their servers like many others.

I've been using DDG for quite a while, it is good, but doesn't always get everything. If I don't find quite what I am looking for, for example a part, I'll try Google with the best info I have and see if it throws up any other suggestions. Google gets some fairly unrelated search data, but don't get to constantly track my location because of my phone.

Ever looked up a company on Google and found it shows you a graph of their busiest/quietest time? that is because they track how many phones are there...

Exactly. And I think by law they have to keep some info.
