We have a small cabin on a couple of historical patented mining claims that we own and use a a recreational getaway. We have been fording the creek to get to the cabin and decided it was time to put a proper crossing in. We used some Grade 1 railroad ties, an old cattle guard, pit run rock, and road mix gravel. A couple neighbors bought their BX-25 with a backhoe, a bobcat, and we used our L2501. I think it turned out well.

Did turn out well, nice work. You will enjoy have a nice means to cross the creek with no worries of getting stuck now.

Neighbors, hard to find ones that want to volunteer time to help. My uncle was the ultimate neighbor living just couple hundred feet from my back door. He helped all the time around the farm and never had to ask. If I was cutting grass he would grab trimmer and lend a hand. Garden he was there except weeding and that was fine. No matter what, he was there, he moved off the farm last summer and I sure miss the helping hand and chats on the porch at nights.

These guys are my neighbors in town, they actually travelled 3 hours to help out with this project. Good neighbors indeed!

Great looking little bridge. Great pictures.

Are you going to put rails on the side of the bridge or at least some markers to know where the sides are when covered with snow? :D

Nope, we aren’t there when it is covered with snow, if we are it is on snowmobile’s so it doesn’t matter. Its an unmaintained road in the winter.
