thought I would share.... I've seen the bigger and much more expensive ones for forklifts etc.... for under $50 found the other day a small / inexpensive fork ball mount for the garden sized tractors that have forks.

I seem to always be wanting to move my trailers around. Tractors much more convenient than using the truck but always seem to have something on the tractor rear end like snow blower / BH / logging winch / etc.. thats just too inconvenient to un attach so I can hook up the trailer mover.

With QA bucket I can now just swap my forks on with this little device and move any trailer I have as long as its empty. Quick / easy / cheap and works well!

not for big / heavy trailers but to move utility or the empty flat deck seems to work perfectly and did I mention its CHEAP!

I made one from scrap to move trailers at work. We have ball and pintle mounts.

I keep looking at that ball mount and figure the ball will bend down real easy, being on thin steel, stuck out so far..then I 'see' that the bottom of the tubing is bent up as a diagonal support...then relook at it and don't see it .....one of those optical cornfusions

BTW the version I made is an 8" store bought 2" rcvr that allows me to slide in 2" ball, 2 5/6" ball or balless sleeve

you are correct. the one I bought has a piece welded under the "lip" to help stop it from folding so optical is a little decieving

for sure won't support tongue weights of tonnes but for less than $50 being able to quickly hook and move things like wood processors, empty trailers, etc... without taking off the back impliments for me is well worth it.

instructions say max. tongue weight 500# and max. trailer weight 2,000#

I have the same one as CGMKCM in the posting above. I like that I can put it on the forks in either direction. I use it with ball forward for normal trailers and then mount it with ball to rear for gooseneck trailers, with ball to rear I get a better lifting capacity
