I have a L5030 and wish to operate a auger bucket for mixing cement. the mixer requires 14.9 GPM and the implement pump on the tractor is rated at 9.7. Can a different pump be changed out that will increase the GPM?
Where did you find the speed increaser? I’m building a power pack to run a skid steer snowblower off the tractor. I can’t seem to find a speed increaser anywhere. I am basically trying to recreate the Erskine HP20 but can’t for the life of me figure out what pump or increaser to use. Blower needs about 18-21 gpm at around 3000 psi.Wolfman is correct, a power pack would solve the issue, but they can be expensive . I just am completing a shop built model but I wanted 32 gpm from my 540 pto. Cost would-be significantly less if the requirements are <20 gpm. You would use FEL to support the mixer, pto would occupy the pump . Heat not so much an issue as you mix then pour, there would be a pause in pump operation.
If mixer is front mounted, better to locate reservoir closer to pump. Would need a frame w/pins for 3 point mount for reservoir. Mount mixer bucket to FEL as you describe. . You have QA, . Or a SSQA mixer? For FEL.
My unit will run constantly, so I added a hyd cooler w/fan . PTO can serve as a valve but frequent pto on-off is not advised.
Here is a basic ballpark recipe:
Pump, generic Not prince price level. $300 (dynamic) alum center
Reservoir $250 25 gal.
Filter assembly $40
Valve $85
Pressure reg $80
Hoses/fittings $300 1/2" pressure supply/return, could be more $ +/-
Shipping -$80+ support reservoir frame 3 point $100 ?
Mine was quite a bit more do to gpm capacity. PTO speed increaser $1,000. + the pump $400
Custom 50gal reservoir $1,000. W/ frame, Cooler w/ fan $500. Pressure hoses 1 inch. + stuff above increased for 1" pressure lines.
PTO pump is maxed out at 20 +/- gpm driven by 540 shaft. A speed increaser is required if greater output is desired from 540 rpm. Engine hp evaluation is a consideration for higher GPM output. As PTO speed is increased by gear device, engine torque is decreased.
