I'm new. Help me spend more money

Hey everyone. I'm new. I have a small lot (about an acre). I am in the process of building a 3 car garage after knocking down my old 1 car garage. Needless to say, dirt is everywhere and landscaping is detroyed. Not to mention my lawn is bumpy enough to lose teeth while mowing. Soooooo...I used this as a reason to buy a new toy. 2021 BX1880 with 161 hours. I was going to buy new, but decided that I would save a few bucks for attachments. Speaking of. That's why I'm here. What are the must have attachments and where is the best place to buy them?

Depends on your budget...

#1 - Ballast Box or weights for the 3 pt. if you're moving dirt. MUST HAVE!!!
Wheel spinner for the steering wheel, MUST HAVE in my book.
Tooth bar for bucket, hard to dig without one.
Quick hitch if you're changing attachments often.
Land plane for leveling the dirt, might be able to rent one since once your done you may not need it.
3rd function valve for grapple, snow blower, etc. Would be nice to get from dealer if they'd include in the financing.
Cab for the snow removal is nice but optional for the first year or two.
Lights for night operation, gets dark by 4:00 p.m. around here.

As for where to buy, take you time and shop around.

plan to use for snow removal? Mowing? Lawn/land care? Light grading? There are implement and accessory options for all the above.

if planning to move pallets I think forks are helpful. Some lifting straps might come in handy.

probably gonna need some grease. I’d recommend get your manual, read it and then check all service locations (grease oils, wheel bolt torque etc)

If planning to do much at night maybe some accessory lighting.

that’s a good looking machine you got and 16 hours…if not a typo seems like it’s brand new!

if still have money to burn after all that let me know and we will go to phase two.

If i was starting from scratch:
- Skid steer quick attach (looks like you have it)
- M18 Grease gun
- Pallet forks - once i got them i started moving everything with pallets

Backhoe was critical for me but you haven't mentioned digging/trenching needs.

A rear blade or land plane and a spike harrow will do wonders on the landscaping.

Everyone pretty much covered it. Let’s list:
Ballast box with about 300 lbs
Quick attach for FEL. Easier to switch between bucket, forks, etc.
3 point quick attach
Read 3 point blade. I have a 6 foot that works great on my 1880 for plowing snow

Not sure if you plan on leaving the mower deck on if you will be moving snow. I remove mine. There is a plate that mounts underneath to protect the belly. Strongly suggest you get it. Will protect the underbelly. I also bought larger tires. The ones for the 23S fit perfect. Since they don’t make R4 tires for the 1880 small rims, have to go larger. If you look at the plate on the axle, it will show 23S. The tire ratio is perfect, plus you get a couple inch lift. I’ll try to find the link for that belly plate.

I've already ordered the piranha bar, box blade and fork bars. I'm looking at a 48' snow pusher, but should cool my credit card down a bit. Also, not sure I found the best snow pusher for my small machine yet

I think if considering snow maybe think about traction aids (I am sure some members will chime in)…chains might require spacers but their is also studding tires.

as far as blades / pushers I’d recommend consider the width to cover the machine (that includes if has angle setting like a blade would).

just my two cents if planning for snow. (I am not really familiar with Conn. winters but I suspect they can be cold and a good bit of snow when a NEter rolls in). There are previous threads on all these topics.

Do NOT buy one without adjustable skids on the sides. I bought the landpride 48 inch one. Big mistake.
