Ideas for dolly

Putting the tiller and snow blower on dollys to when they are not in use but in the way I can move them around a little easier. Has anyone else done this? If so can you post pictures so I can get an idea to improve what I did? Thanks

I haven't done it but Northern Tool and Harbor Freight sometimes have furniture dollies on sale. One or two of those might be a good start for an implement dolly. For the prices they have it would be hard to just buy 4 casters and they will support a lot of weight.

We are using dollies we made for something else, but had to add soem wood so that it was side enough, then it was too high when we were putting it back on this morning.

This is one of my projects too. Right not my blower is sitting on a standard furniture dolly. It sits and moves easy enough, but with the blower partially raised it becomes hard to get the blower properly connected. I've been getting it on the mount, lifting it off the dolly and then connecting with the implement on the ground. I've got a front mount blower, and the mount is the source of my issues. I'd expect a 3 point blower to be easier. From what I remember the issue was not having space to get the PTO and locks connected (it is amazing what a difference an inch or two can make).

My tiller won't set properly on a standard dolly, it is a winter project. When I got it it was in a crate about the same height as a dolly would be. The problem was it wanted to roll when the tines were on the dolly but the frame was not.

Gosh - mine goes easy - just raise the front hitch a little so it lines up, and roll that puppy right up to it....give it a could of extra pushes to make sure it's home....

I believe they are on sale right now. I just bought 4 of them for various uses around the garage and you couldn't buy just the casters for the price of the dollies. Buy a few more than you need because they are quite handy for many things.

I just use harbor freight Dolly's and scrap OSB. They roll around real easy

Here's a few of my dollies. The snowblower is a little high to attach but running the front wheels on a set of 2x8's makes a world of difference. I also put a 1x2 for backstops and it helps alot for balance.

I use a small dolly for the blower, with the blower/fan housing settled down into the hollow. Carpeted parts both sides.
Honestly, works like a charm. Maybe sets a little lower that way???

I altered/ extended the shoes a couple years ago, so they look funny.

If you buy the HF dollies avoid the plastic ones. They cost more than the wood but aren't as strong. The metal supports are only on two sides, not all four. I thought they would be water proof but one broke under my chipper. I salvaged the casters.
