Well, I just bought myself a new BX2680 this fall and right away I went into mod mode while everything is still nice and clean. I'm 99% done (for now). Just gotta get a few more fuses and double check the snowblower chute rotator. Otherwise, I'm happy with how everything turned out as I take a lot of pride in doing a good job and doing it right.

Here's the breakdown:
-Steering wheel spinner
-Auxiliary fuse panel for switched LED lights, snowblower chute rotator motor and chute deflector actuator
-Relay tied into the key switch to power an auxiliary fuse panel
-3 illuminated toggle switches, 2 for 2 LED circuits and an extra for the future
-2 - 4" LEDs on the ROPS
-2 - 4" LEDs on the grill guard
-2 Carling rocker switches in a PVC junction box to control the snowblower motor and actuator
-Electric actuator for chute deflector
-Electric motor for the chute rotator
-Plastic ammo case as a toolbox mounted where the SMV sign used to be (I should have bought a metal ammo case, but $5 was more attractive than $25)
-Some DIY integrated dollies for the MMM for storage. (Saw this idea over on Tractor By Net)

Only thing i would change are the zip ties on the grill guard. They make self-adhesive bases for the zip ties which would go on the inside edge and do away with the wrap around ties.

Couldn't agree more. Now would be the time to do it too; everything is clean so they should stick good

2) Move the lights higher up on the ROPS
3) Paint the ammo can orange.

Otherwise good. A for the day. :geek:

oh....did you get your Piranha tooth bar yet? and underbelly skid plate?

oh and last thing, check your front diff fluid, it should be empty.

The dealer threw in a straight blade for my bucket and I don't see a need for a skid plate on my tractor. If I had unlimited budget, maybe, but not for me.

I check all of my fluids regularly like everyone should, and my dealer did a proper job doing the PDI on my tractor. Not sure why everyone preaches that fluids WILL be low in new tractors.

I check all of my fluids regularly like everyone should, and my dealer did a proper job doing the PDI on my tractor. Not sure why everyone preaches that fluids WILL be low in new tractors.
I check my fluids before each use and the front axle dipstick was always a pain to remove and reinsert with the O ring appearing dry. One day when I checked, there was no oil on the dipstick and no evidence of a leak anywhere. I got gear oil from the dealer ( that is what they recommended) and proceeded to top off the axle using this procedure (section 4 of the PDF) I added oil until the "breather plugs" had oil in them. reinstalled the plugs and I still had to add some more oil to reach the dipstick mark. It took more than a quart total.
It appears that when the axle is serviced at the factory, the plugs are not removed and air is trapped in the wheel gear boxes. Whenever the air finally come out of the gear boxes, the oil level on the dipstick comes down and if not checked, the differential, being the highest point will run dry and gets damaged. Apparently, that has happened to some members. Many others have found low oil level but fortunately no damage. By the way, now there is enough oil splashing around that not only the oil level is right, the dipstick is easy to remove and reinstall.

I hate that dipstick! I remove it with a large needle nose plyers. My arthritic hands cant get it out!
Get the O ring wet with the oil and the same with the hole in the axle. After a while it will get easier to remove. I don't have to use pliers anymore, I just wiggle the cap around while pulling and the dipstick comes out.
