Yes, as the titel says I need to build a roll bar for my L1802dt (grey Market). I use the tractor mainly in the woods and already had a few scares... So it’s really time for a roll bar.
I am skilled enough with my welder and bandsaw... But I do need advice... Where to attach the roll bar to the tractor...? As this model does not seem to have any attachement points.
On the web I have seen a picture somewhere (can’t find it anymore). Somebody took of the top link attachement L bars and replaced them. He drilled the holes to re connect the top link. The L bars went up, angled a bit backwards to go around the back side and he connected the roll bar to it... I am afraid that when a rollover acures that cast iron bits wil break. The roll bar would be strong enough with 80 x 40 x mm square tube, 3 mm thick, I suppose?
What is your opinion? Maybe Somebody addressed this isseu already? Please let me know.
