I went to sharpen the blades on the BX, and to say there is not enough left to really worry about is an understatement, I guess last time I was a bit aggressive trying to get the stone chips out, but I digress.
Someone gave me the part number to the OEM blades for a 60 inch deck, and someone for the gator blades they claimed out lasted the OEM blades and wore better. And I didnt write the numbers down,, oh yeah I ll remember them,,, coff coff
Any ways if you please the numbers

With a 3-pack of Kubota blades only running $20 or so from the dealership, I'm not even sure it's worth my time to sharpen the old ones.

Mine were $24 a blade from the dealer 😲 x3. I switched to the gator fusions from Amazon.

On what planet? I think you meant $20 per blade.
Local dealership here in NC earlier this year. Messicks had the same price at the time. The parts guy thought the same thing and even dug into their price sheets to verify it wasn't a mistake. I think they were $22 after tax.

I'll grab the box to check the part numbers. Maybe I just lucked out with a screw-up from Kubota USA pricing!

Edit: Price after tax was $24.04 on 3/14/25.

Things can go awry. In the late 90's I shot a lot of Winchester Dynapoint .22 ammo. I'd buy several bricks at a time at Kmart. One time when it was on sale for $9/brick, I took a full case to the register. The girl said "That''ll be $9.64". I corrected it before paying.

One of the best deals I ever got on anything. Went to Lowe’s one night shortly before they closed. Needed two boxes of 4”x48” black rubber base molding for a job in the morning. It was priced about $2.94 each, but most all of it was in full boxes of 24 pieces, a little over $70.56 per box. Picked up two boxes and made a pathetic attempt to self check out. Couldn’t get their scanner to recognize the UPC on the individual pieces or box. A middle aged lady with an Assistant Manager name tag came over to help. She looked like she was nearing the end of a 24 hour shift without any breaks: totally worn to a nub. She struggled around for a bit with their system but eventually got it to show the correct price, $2.94. But she says it’s per box. I tell her their website and shelf tag shows it’s per piece so each box is $70.56. She starts with, “Which one of us is wearing ‘Assistant Manager’ on their Lowe’s uniform?” and gets worse from there. Usually I would have argued, but in the spirit of peace and humility, I asked her if I could go back to pick up another box or two since my stupidity had led me to overestimate the cost. She was fine with that. I got 10 more boxes because that’s all they had. I asked her again when I came back if she was sure this made sense and she said something about having enough of customers who think they know everything. $35.28 for $846.72 worth of rubber base. Tried to tell her. 🤷‍♂️

How many of ya'll use a blade balance indicator when sharpening your blades. I have one and it really makes a difference for sure.

This was in NC, but I'd checked prices online to see how bad I'd get screwed by stopping in to the local dealer and the local price was the same as Messicks. Whatever happened to the price system wasn't just local, but the price is now the same $62 you paid, so I just got lucky. Wish I'd known it then as I would've picked up more blades!!

Part number K5371-97521 for the kit.
