So my serial # is 60493 and it is a 4wd so by this chart it is a 1988

I would say your tractor was built in the last model year for this particular model i.e. 1988 but please read the info below.

Does your tractor have any Japanese labels on it?

I am not suggesting you have a GRAY tractor but rather perhaps the info on tractordata.com is not complete.

I draw your attention to the following info from the GRAY section of this form which shows this particular tractor, being built from 1983 to 1994.
