I was in Ketchikan last week: 78F with no appreciable rain for some time. the rain forest up there is getting really dry and the locals are really worried about fire issues. Hopefully, they will get some rain or snow soon as Fall is right around their corner.

Cool photo Ray, did you take that yourself?

Ah, looks like a nice Beaver aircraft. I loaded and fueled many of those in my early years (1969-1970) in Northern Ontario. Worked with Rusty Blakey, a well known Canadian bush pilot. I watched him land a Norseman aircraft that had an exhaust fire, and he feathered the prop just right and blew it out with a simple boost in rev of the engine....
I always loved the Beaver, wonderful plane....

I fueled and added engine oil to CF-JKT many times... (the 9 cylinder radial engine burned about a gallon of oil for every 1-2 hour trip)

Not to worry brother Skeets.

In three weeks the wisps of winter will be upon you.

Enjoy it while you can.

Well, there is a new flu shot and they are trying to get everyone to get them earlier than in the past. So don't let that be a gauge of winter!:D

I have a 275 gallon tote close to my garden, fill it up with pond water to feed the garden. Last year, I filled it up 3 times and used it all, this year, only once and it still has 2 feet of water. Seems like it has rained every 2 to 4 days. I think I have sweated 10 gallons of water this yea. I can't even take a vacation worrying about comeing back to 2 feet of grass.

I can't wait for winter; I'm hoping for extreme cold and tons of snow. I really like the cold and snow; don't mind plowing, don't mind driving in it. Really enjoy getting out on the snowmobiles or even some cross-country skiing.

It's too darn hot right now in NH. I don't like Labor Days that hit 90+.
