Ya know once upon a time on one of the Harley sites I use to visit, I asked the same question.. And here it is,,,,
Do you think anybody from the MoCo or in this case the big "K" ever reads the things people bitch about on these forums? Or do they even really care? Your dealer is your only line of defense if something craps out.
Is there anyone from the HOME OFFICE reading these forums?
Passing along problems, fixes, or some new and innovating ideas from the scum of the earth that own, work with and on and love these machines.
I wonder
But I doubt it cause I would think that things like muckedup powder coating, pretty ugly welds and crap coming out of places it shouldn't be in the first place when we change oil and fluids, and wiring and other things we see here and in the real world, would be addressed through again your dealer.
But I see more and more dealers following the boutique line like HD did, with not a lot of stand behind your customer any more, we got your money now Byby
Ok my rant is finished but I would love to hear the other side from the MoCo and tell me that they really do listen.........

I think Vic has mentioned in the past that someone from Kubota corporate offices has seen this form and flipped threw the pages. But I don't think its closely monitored. Someone knows this place exists. If it were me and my corporate business I would want 2 or 3 people looking over things here on a frequent basis. I mean what better way to learn about your own product and get real world advise from customers then on this forum.

Well, for one thing: There were lots of complaints about the brake pedal
being on the right. Now Kubota has moved it to the left side on the
on the BX 70 series.
The abrupt stopping in the the BX 50 series. It was fixed.
Yes, I tkink Kubota does watch these forums.

I think Eric is close on this one, if I were an executive at Kubota or wherever I would pay attention. At least pay a couple people to pay attention, they would have to be smart enough to sort the BS opinion and actually find the issues that are valid.

Unfortunately, most of the corporations that I deal with in the beverage industry don't want to hear what is actually going on, only what they want to hear. I would be considered the middle man kinda like a dealer would be for Kubota. I have been told to hold my tongue at times because the rep might not approve of my opinion. I'm not sure if this but I would assume that a dealer has to be worried about loosing the rights to sell X product. Therefor, not always speaking his or her mind instead just telling them what they want to hear, in fear of loosing the product.

Just my opinion of course.

My company (insurance) goes out and puts together forums of policyholders all over the country and asks them what they think of our products and the service they get. We also pay companies to call and ask our customers their opinions of us. One of our performance objectives is based on customer satisfaction, the total score on that effects the company bonus we may or may not get. I know they monitor the web for what people are saying about the company, agents and claims service too.

This is a great question and likely only to be answered by the big K. Only way to find out is to give them permission to call or e-mail those who have suggested changes, made them, or ran into issues that are unsolved and do require further information via follow up.

However, in our litigious society, the caution of any manufacturer will be to avoid any implication of a bad product to limit their liability. Any contact on their part therefore would be risky.

Like your Harley comment, folks in the ditch always more than folks at the desk. Smart companies listen to the ditch.

At least I do believe that they are reading these columns. Japanese are extremely savvy marketers and also very cost conscious. This is a free source of marketing information and they are unlikely to pass it up.

When you live on a island thousands of miles away, it is less expensive to do stuff via electrons than carbon transfer.

One really good position we are in is that unlike the political "surveys," that ask for your opinion, then want a $50 contribution or more, we don't have to pay to voice it and then get it ignored.

Their probably afraid that if they did this it would end up like 911 has, with people calling because their pizza is late.

You think KTC would send us a five or six dozen Kubota hats, a few key chains and a bunch of golf shirts so we could pass them along to our OTT members??
Actually, don't think so.

Would be nice from them to send some stuff and we would do a voting where everybody has two voices to give other members here in the forum. So the members here could point the stuff to some with the most tribute.

Maybe some officials read these lines... :)
