I have 30k to spend what should I buy?

I have 5 acres with a pond, its mostly grass, somewhat flat but it does slope down. I have about 1 acre of it for gardening. Im looking for a 72 inch mower, loader, and some sort of tiller. What model should I buy? I'm looking for a new setup for 30k total for all the items. Please advise. I have a crappy 25 hp john deere mini tractor now that sucks with a 56 inch mower that takes 5 hours to mow the grass and breaks continuously.

WOW talk about a loaded question,, Its easy spending other peoples money,, so lets start
A BX with a 60 inch deck r4 tires and a push blade will go maybe 14 k
A B with uses a lot of the same drive components with the same set up maybe 18k, if you go for a cab model the price jumps to like 20k, and the sky is the limit
So to try and answer your question allow me to expound from my experiences with the BX. I mow 5+ acres push snow and keep the drive way in good shape, tow, push and do things one would not think this little tractor should/can do. I don't know what else you plan to do but cutting on steep banks along a pond or creek is not a good idea no matter what brand of tractor you use. I/we have a non descript 48 inch tiller and the BX2360 does a grand job,,, Now another thing do you have lots trees with over hanging limbs the new ROPS I think are like 7 foot high and the next larger size have taller ROPS though they will fold down for storage, NOT WHILE RUNNING,,

Im sure guys with the B model will chime in but which ever you choose go to the dealer drive it around ask him to bring one over to try out and see if it will do what your wanting to do.

With that budget I'd vote for an L3301. Will be more than enough tractor for 5 acres, plenty of HP and will fit under budget. You can also get a cab with heat and AC if needed and put you right at $30k with a mower and FEL.

I would get an L series as the additional weight and stance will allow you to do a lot more and you won't be wishing you had later.

When I first read this I thought, you can buy me a backhoe for my L3901.

I vote for a L3301 or L3901.

Get an L but buy a used one, 2010 or so. The Tier 4 technology on the 2015's is not new but it's new to Kubota. There's a guy in Bend, OR that has made a career out of selling used Orange. He will deliver.

I agree, buy a used L Series with a nice finish mower and you will be all set. The lawn will be done quick, while you are sitting in a very comfortable cab enjoying the A/C and not fixing that old unit.

I have 6 acres and looked at a BX25D, but got an L3200. Glad I went for the larger tractor. I'll miss that little back scoop, but once I get my old D-17 on the property I won't have much need for it, so the L series suggestion is seconded, thirded, and fourthed.... Then lots of goodies to go on it!

If you need the cab, you can move up to a Grand L or an M but you won't have much $$$ left for goodies.

That one for sale in post 11 is just about perfect I would think. Its a grand L series which is perfect, I'm on my second grand L now. Has lots of nice stuff the L doesnt have.

Do not, I repeat not, get a B or BX series, you'll always wish you had more tractor. 30 horse or so in a Grand L is perfect for your land size and budget. That one above with 170 hours is almost new, has the HST trans, loader and 4x4..perfect!!

I recently purchased the BX2670 with mmm and snow plow. I thought hard about the B2601. Decided on smaller tractor because I have a lot of trees and fences to cut around. If I were in your shoes with 5 acres, I would seriously look at the B2601. Remember, don't buy based on how much money you have, decide what machine fits your needs the best and then go get the best deal you can on that tractor.

I got a nice vintage one you could have for the 30k even throw in all the implements and a trailer 2wd so it's less maintenance. Got some serious tread on the back tires never heard of emissions, or a fuel pump. Best thing of all it's one of them fancy japanese imports nice fancy patina paint job thats in style too!!!!! Well thats the best I could come up with for a sales pitch

I would have to agree with the others, a nice pre dpf L are great tractors. If you look around you can pick up a great shape one and have extra money for a bunch of implements too
