First off this is my first tractor & I’ve never assembled a hydraulic system from scratch before so be kind. I have a 2 spool valve that came with the plow as an extra, I wanted to use quick connects, I have an idea how I want it to end up but what have others done that’s worked well for them. I was thinking of using angle iron bolted to the side of where the lift cylinder is and bulkhead fittings with the male quick connects on that and the females on the hoses. Thoughts comments and pictures welcomed

You would typically have hoses on the implement cylinders and the hookup point for the quick connects mounted on the tractor body..

I was thinking that but putting the convection up here on a piece of angle iron to keep the
Implement hoses shorter
Where you put it is a personal choice but thats a little too far forward for my taste. You need to make sure the hoses are long enough to give you anvadequate working loop.

When you say “working loop” I’m unsure what you mean? Sorry trying to learn here. Like my DS used to say the only dumb question was the one you didn’t ask.

my thought process was to keep the implement hoses short to avoid the possibility of catching them on anything as I’m thinking I can secure the lines running forward under the cowing along the right side.
I’m trying not to make expensive annoying errors here 🤣

Hydraulic hoses need to have enough slack to allow them to follow the movement of the implement without bending too tightly. That slack is called a working loop. Too tight and it stresses the hose causing premature failure.

ahh now I got what you mean, yes a “smooth run” limit/eliminate tight bends and have enough to avoid pulling stress with movement. I was thinking that running long lines on the implement back towards the control valve could lead to the possibility of catching them with the tire. Trying to run all the possibilities in my head first
