Hello,

Looking at Subsoilers and rippers for my l4060 and saw a vid with a hydraulic top link. I am always adjusting mine with just my brush hog, but if I get into other 3 point attachments I really like this idea d making use of one on my rear hydro pairs.

I see they are on Amazon but thought I would ask here for opinions on those much more experienced than me.

Thanks!

See Fit rite hydraulics for custom cylinders. Made specifically for your tractor.

If you need the control valve he also sells those.

Lead time is around 10 weeks.

10 weeks is a lot that snow flying time for me. Quite pricy as well, but I am sure it’s top quality and you get what you pay for as well. I’m looking at 600+ tax and shipping.

Dont overthink things.

Here is the top link on my L3901. The couplers are Faster 4SRHF (ISO 7241A) and the tips are ISO 5275 from Summit. That works fine because per the ISO standards 1/2" body size ISO 7241A and ISO 5675 are the same.. The 7241A standard explicitly references the 5675 standard.

The top link is nothing more than a $200 swivel eye cylinder from Magister with 1" x 3/4" reducing bushings for the pin holes.

Many of the top link cylinders sold online are manufactured overseas and have BSPP ports as do the lock valves if they come with them. Consequently the hoses have male BSPT ends. The ones sold by Surpluscenter don't come with hoses but do come with BSPP to NPT adapters.

I bought mine earlier this year from Agristore USA. Just recently I added restrictor orifices to the hoses to slow it down. I’m still under $300 for everything.
They come with a double piloted check valve to hold the position.
Just double check your min and max lengths before ordering.
