I was reading how much some folks like having a hydraulic top link for a variety of 3pt attachments. I had kind of decided good idea but I am not there just yet.

It then occured to me the BX25d has rear hydraulics set up for the back hoe. So, is it an easy add given the plumbing is already there?

The back hoe hydraulics are only a source for the hydraulic fluid, You do not have any control of it other than to have it connected to the hoe or looped back to itself.

You will need a separate control valve (SCV) fed by your hoe supply lines. Easiest thing is to check with your Kubota dealer about getting a rear remote for your tractor.

But as it is now, no you cannot operate any individual hydraulic units.

Thank you MtnViewRanch and RCW.

Add the controls and cylinder, tie into the BH hydraulics and it's good to go if I read that right. Appreciate the advice.

Kubota have a remote valve option for the BX tractors but it won't fit the BX25 because of interference with the backhoe frame. I did manage to modify the frame on mine and get it to work but it took a lot of screwing around. I use a hydraulic top link that I got from Hydraulic surplus.

Good to know, thanks. Seems odd the Kubota supplied version doesn't fit one of their popular tractors. Go figure.
