Hydraulic Suction Pipe Crushed/Replace

I'm truly at a loss for words here. How is this setup not built to fail? My hydraulic suction pipe is below my frame. There is no belly/guard plate. I've got a new pipe to install but I see no way to actually remove or install without removing the entire cab off the frame. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Please type slowly because I'm a female with limited mechanical tractor knowledge. However I'm willing to learn. LOL

Welcome! Sorry we have to meet like this. My L35 had a similar problem. I'm not familiar with your tractor, but according to the parts diagram there's a clamp-on connection at the other of that pipe. Can you not get to the clamp, or can you not fish the pipe through other obstructions once you get is disconnected?

Hose clamp and pull to the rear. Should be able to fish out without pulling cab.

I've got the clamp off but I can't seem to fish it through. The elbow won't move past the corner of the cab.

I would suggest jacking the machine up safely (jack stands) on the right side. It will give you the most maneuverability. Might try going out the front too. Is the tube in between/above #20 and the transmission? If so, the front cab mount may need to be removed.

The biggest issue seems to be getting enough movement to fish. The quick mount for the belly mower is stopping me from getting leverage. I could wiggle past that corner mount if the quiuck mount wasn't there.

If the belly mower is in the way id remove it. You should make it so the new one will go in fairly easy. If you are having to apply too much strain to get the old one out just remove parts. You don't want to bend the new pipe going in. I guess what I am saying is your not going to save time and effort fighting/vs/removing brackets.

@OrangeChick I agree with @kubotafreak above. Remove what is needed to go back together easily. Sometimes working on these things is like playing reverse Tetris.

It also may be worth mentioning Paul and Kathy Short make some nice guards for the B/LX series. Though, I don’t believe they cover the suction tube.
I put them on my old LX after knocking my filter off with about 6 hrs on the clock.

Take lots of pictures before you start to remove parts and also take a specific picture of the part as you get it loose so that you can see how it looks as it goes back together.

probably a good idea to package the part and the bolts/washers and nuts all together and put a number on the bag or ”removed first, second…) if this is going to take you a while to get complete.

much better than having parts left over when you are done.

memory is fickle and parts all look the same after a few days

I would as give the undercarriage a good pressure washing before disassembly. Drag outside and clean it. While is it drying sweep floor. Had a customer that dragged(buddy's truck just as muddy)((tow strap)) his truck into dealer for transmission failure(Had warranty). Was pissed that I found impact damage to case of transmission(no warranty claim) and was more pissed for the $200 we charged for cleaning(think it was three hours of pressure washing truck/undercarriage) and then pushed it back outside to dry. Next day I had a Rubbermaid trash barrel 1/2 filled with just mud after sweeping and shoveling my stall. I agree with disassembly to make it easier/put bolts in bags(I use cupcake tins with post it notes). Also take pictures and use the OEM fluid to refill. Also have helpers/floor jacks when removing brackets as they are heavy and it seems like they always fall towards the cab glass.
