I need some advice, I have a M6800 with a cab and loader and I got a branch or small tree that pulled the suction pipe from the transmission I pushed it back in but and it sucks some air into the system and drips fluid. I am handy but have never done anything to the tractor except for maintenance. How big of a job is it to fix or replace the seal assuming I did not do any other damage? I think I will have to remove the fuel tank and the wheel full of fluid. What should I expect to pay to have the dealer work on it? Thanks for your help with this.

First step is to get a couple clean new 5-gallon buckets and drain the trans oil. Then take the pipe off (just unbolts) for inspection and repair. If a fuel tank really has to be removed for access, get more clean containers and drain the fuel rather than trying to handle it full. Unless the pipe needs replacing this job is mostly a couple hours labor. Cost may depend on whether they work at your place or theirs.

My guess is the hydraulic suction pipe can be removed without taking off a wheel, but no experience with a M6800. The cab version of the workshop manual might be a worthwhile investment.
