Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster. Great site, have learned much so far.

I am rebuilding a B670 Backhoe and have run into a stumbling block... first, a little background.
After buying the tractor, I checked with the local dealer on the availability of hydraulic rebuild parts for the hoe. I was informed that the rebuild kits were no longer available, but each seal could still be purchased individually, although not cheaply. The dealer said that everything would be available at any hydraulic supply store at a more reasonable price and without having to order everything. Sounds reasonable.... So, I proceeded to run all over creation to round up all the parts needed, except for the (8) "Packing Assembly" for each of the Boom, Dipper, Bucket, & Swing cylinders. No one had these, so I returned to the dealer to purchase them individually. Guess what? The dealer now informs me that the parts cannot be ordered individually, and I must purchase the complete rebuild kits to get the (5) seals I need to finish my rebuild, at a cost of $220:eek:. (plus the wasted money & time spent chasing down the rest of the parts I already have!)
Does anyone have a source that might possibly have these seals? My manual shows the part numbers as:
70020-00774 (need 5)
70020-00773 (need 3)
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

And the saga continues.... I got an e-mail from TractorSmart.com saying there was a problem with my order.....marvelous.:(
Turns out the seals I need are no longer available, (contrary to the online catalog I ordered from) but as my local dealer told me, the complete rebuild kits are still available. So I have now placed an order for the boom, dipper, bucket, & swing cylinder kits from TractorSmart.com .
The amazing part is that the (5) complete kits are $93.40 shipped, $38 cheaper than the seal assemblies separately, and $126 cheaper than the kits from my local stealer.
Thanks to Ronnie Bowman at TractorSmart.com for his help in this matter.:D
