Re: Hydrolic screen problem

Look up BX 50 hour service here...

One thread was going in the last week or so, a continuation of an older thread that went through a lot of it.

Fellows had the same deal on theirs. It's excess sealant used in assembly of the HST and housings.

Re: Hydrolic screen problem

I just completed my 50 hour service on my new BX23S and the hydrolic screen was covered with a gray rubber material, is this normal?
Despite the ugliness - it seems that is somewhat normal for the 23s and some 25d's

that is gasket material in there, sealant - clean it real well and it should stay clean for the next service;)

I started a couple of threads on this. At 50 hours mine was the same way. I just pulled it again at 131 hours to get warm and fuzzy that it was not going to clog up. This time screen was clean. I can not over emphasize the importance of the 50 hour service on a new tractor. #5 rubber plug (amazon) works perfect and you can do this with minimal loss of fluid.
