Okay so I learned a few things. The BX has more than enough hydraulic output ... like way more than I'll ever need for the dump trailer ... and I'll have to be careful with this thing haha. Enjoy.

Definitely had its way with the BX, I remember you saying that in the early video when you got it. Thankfully it was an experiment and it did not put you in any kind of predicament out in the field.

Fill it with water one more time, and leave it outside to freeze. Then try your lifting. Water exits the tailgate faster than material. A block of ice will give you the feel of what the trailer can handle, but I can tell you right now, if you try to dump 2 tons, you are going to need filled rear tires, and wheel weights to hold it down. I have seen dump trucks where the front wheels come off the ground, because the load was too heavy for the truck. Moving the hitch closer to the tractor isn't going to change the geometry of the tractor and trailer much at all. If you have that trailer filled to the top, like you did with the water, any misstep will take you and the tractor for the ride of your life.

you could have chained your 3pt hitch to tractor to prevent it from lifting up.

Yeah, I'll never have that much weight in it when I'm actually working.
