What are ya'll using to fill up or add Hyd. fluid?

It's a tight fit getting anything down in there.... I've tried a few things always end up spilling a bit.

Isn’t this question similar to “How to pour piss out of a boot?”. …

Paid something like $15 to $20 for a cheap pump/siphon. Had about 10 gallons to remove/replace at 400 hour service. Made pretty quick work of it. If I did that daily it probably wouldn’t last long. But I don’t do that daily.

siphon it in.

Put the bucket up on the fender. Put a hose in the bucket and the other end in the filler hole. Put a little air pressure in the bucket enough to force oil through, start the siphon. Then have a seat & wait for it to finish filling.

They're nuts.
I wonder if it's a misprint. Extra 9 maybe?

Getting tranny fluid into my Tundra is an odd one also. The fill port is on the side, just above the front driveline.

My fix is a 5’ length of 5/8” OD clear vinyl tubing that I snake down behind the driver side valve cover from above. The tubing slips snugly into the fill hole on the trans. Stick a funnel in the hose on the top side and start pouring.

Would something like this work? Measure the hole and find some hose that fits decently.

I dedicate a new garden sprayer to some jobs (such as bleeding a brake line from the bottom Up…or filling an axle or differential w/ gear-oil..)….
….. Cut the spray-wand between the thumb-valve and the nozzle and slip some polyvinyl hose onto the wand…. and route the other end of the hose to the fill-hole. Pump up the sprayer and press the thumb-valve.

This was particularly helpful when the front axle called for 8.5 qts of 80W90…. I can see the graduations on the side of the sprayer reservoir to determine how much has been delivered.

One time use sprayers from WalMart are $8… Long-life sprayer tool for repetitive use…buy a better quality one appox $16-$20…. My gear-oil sprayer has been my friend for 15 years, used for tractors, cars, trucks, shredder/PHD gear-boxes, etc. etc. which use common 80W90.
Another sprayer delivers ATF fluids….

I use one similar to this on my L.

But that Lisle right angle one looks "interesting".

Edit: I found it so interesting that I bought one....hahah. BTW, they are $11.44 at the Big A, so I got one on the way
