I have a Kabota B 2910. I was planning my gravel road. I pulled to the side to talk to a neighbor turn the tractor off. When I started the tractor once again, I had no hydraulics. No power steering no three-point hitch no transmission no movement at all in any of the three. I’m thinking the hydraulic pump went out suddenly. Any ideas?

I assume you checked the oil dipstick and its full, so no hydraulic oil puddle under it? Or leaks elsewhere?

Yes, I should’ve mentioned everything worked fine. There’s no blown hoses. No oil leaks or anything .
I checked the fluid level. It was fine. There’s been none leaking out anywhere. That’s why I was thinking. It was probably the pump.

Have you seen this OT thread yet? Something about the suction line having leak?

Put a drain pan under the loader hydrsaulic putlet block and trmove ths hose connected to the pump port . Set engine speed to idle, start the tractor, and you should immediately get a stream of oil out of the block. Shut the tractor off to prevent pumping the tractor dry.

Of no oil the pump is not working and we can trouble shoot that.

Honest concern, do we need to call 911 for a stroke?
Or is it just a fat finger on small phone thing?

Skinny fingers but stupid small and twitchy mobil keyboard. Add in auto-complete and auto-correct and you get symptoms of a stroke :devilish:

I I got a chance to disconnect the rubber hose from the hydraulic pump. I got a hydraulic funnel and my fluid jug and was prepared to have the fluid run out. But when I crank the tractor, nothing was there but air no fluid at all. The reservoir is full, so I’m still thinking this must be a bad hydraulic pump. Anyone have other thoughts?

Are you sure you disconnected the correct hose?

How cold was it? Any ice or snow packed around underneath the tractor?
No. The tractor was running fine. I pulled off the driveway slightly to speak to my son. I turned off the tractor for 5 minutes. It cranked fine but no hydraulics either trans, 3 point or power steering. The weather was actually pleasant for the NC mountains.
