I changed my HST/ hydraulic filter and oil the other day. I let it run for a couple minutes and checked the oil. It was low so I added some. I then drove it back to the shed and parked it. It is now reading over full. Should I run it for a while then check it again or should I just drain some out Thanks

If yours is anything like mine, mine reads nothing when I first pull it out, reinsert and pull again, reads normally. Seems the tube air-locks

It's just a holding / cooling tank. For my tractor, I run mine about a gallon over fill. There still 2 more gallons of "head space" for expansion. I've also had to run mine at 3 gallons underfilled, to get it back to the shop, no problems (you don't want to heat the oil up by running it that way for a day!!!!) Normally, it takes 7 gallons.

Don't worry about yours....
