Plan on changing out hydraulic steering hoses on L4310E. How difficult a job is this? I priced replacement hoses at Kubota dealer $140.00 each. All help Appreciated.
You may realize significant savings by having the hoses built by a reputable local hydraulic shop. Of course you'll need to take the hoses in to ensure the correct size, length, and fittings. The quarter inch hoses for my front loader generally go for about $15 each. Of course larger diameter hoses will be more expensive.
If you have hoses that are difficult to get in (like having to get around some items), when you loosen the connections on the hose your are replacing attach a piece of another hose and pull the attached hose through to the same position as the one you're replacing. Then you have the old hose to get made correctly and then attach the new hose to the one you pulled through and use it to pull the new hose into position.
When you get new hoses be sure to blow out the insides. You don't want any metal or rubber particles left in there from the cutting or crimping process.

Don't know if they all do it but my local Cat dealer has foam bullets that they blow through every line before it goes on a machine or handed to a customer.
