Actually, they're pretty common so you can stack lines. As a matter of fact, there are three on my loader valve, which is why I was disappointed in myself not noticing TOH's selection.

My point is Messicks will add a significant amount to the $15 the USPS wants. They have to cover the cost of their shipping supplies and labor. They are also fond of putting small parts in large boxes....

FYI, the reason for the erratic shipping prices is not because we mark it up.. its because we cost average out a certain amount of our shipping. The data we get from our vendors does not give us all the info we need to quote shipping accurately all the time. There are some allowances in our shipping algorithms that average out the shipping costs so we can quote amounts all the time. Some packages win, some loose. We made some changes about a 6 weeks ago that overall will lower the amount we are changing for shipping as data has improved and we negotiate better shipping contracts

A medium USPS flat rate box is $15 (retail) anywhere in the US including Hawaii and Alaska. As USPS says "If it fits it ships". What more data do you need?

And don't get me wrong. I would not expect you to pack, label, and ship one for that price.
