I'm changing hydro fluid tomorrow and would like to reroute the hydraulic hoses back to original position if possible. I've been living with this rigged routing since I got it. If someone with a similar tractor could send me pics or clue me in otherwise, I'd appreciate it. I looked through my shop manual and didn't see this covered.

This is what I have currently:

Thats a DIY plumbing job. You can route NEW hoses of the proper length anyway you want. You seem to be using tank as power beyond. Might want to consuder fixing that.

Sorry, I don't know what that means.
The correct way to plumb the loader valve is with three hoses - the two high pressure lines you have and a separate low/no pressure tank return which on your tractor would go to the cap on thev hydrsulic filler. Post a couple pictures of the loader vslve so we can see if it has a power beyond port/capability. Model number of the valve would also be helpful.

I replaced the dual handle valve that was on previously with this one. I reused the existing lines and connected them to the appropriate ports AFIAK. Works fine, but if there's a better way, I'm all ears. Much appreciated.

It works but Prince would tell you its incorrect. I will forgo the long explantion of why for now.

The correct way is to remove the plug in the "C" port and install the optional power beyond sleeve. Then move the hose currently connected to "T" to that sleeve. Lastly run a third hose from the "T" port to the hydrauluc filler. I have attached the instruction sheet for your valve. The power beyond sleeve is item 8 in the top diagram

I might need the longer explanation to understand what I'm getting from this rerouting. I can understand adding the power beyond sleeve if i want to run other equipment, but if I connect the tank return line to it, how would that happen then? Prince's instructions show the output from C to go to an auxiliary controller rather than to the tank line. Is that a temporary connection until I need to make an auxiliary connection later?

I was able to find the power beyond sleeve, but unfortunately the orings were cracked. I went and checked my universal kit for replacements, but found no exact replacements. The middle oring in the pic below is the original smaller oring, with the closest options on each side. These are R05 & R07. Looks like the originals must be metric. Looking at options, what durometer would be best to order, 90A, 70A...?

The Readers Digest version:

With your current setup the C and T ports are interconnected and they are powering a downstream device - the 3pt

The T core in the valve is not designed to handle pressures greater than 500-800 PSI and its also the backside of the inlet pressure relief so the pressure relief function in the valve is effectively defeated.

Enter the power beyond sleeve. It isolates the T core in the valve from the open center pressure core giving you a through path for high pressure carry over of the inlet stream.

With the power beyond sleeve installed the only flow routed to the T ports is exhaust oil from a cylinder/motor and any relief flow from the inlet pressure relief.

You need BOTH outlet paths connected when the power beyond sleeve is installed.

Cant help with the orings - I would suggest you buy a kit specific to the valve. Durometer probably does not matter butvsize surely does.

I have a similar tractor but smaller L245DT with a different valve, the hoses basically run to and from the same places. As tractor was received my hoses are secured to the fender, under the seat and connect from the front side of the block.
Always enter from left so they’re not in the way. You may want to try this routing.

Thanks for the explanation. Seems critical if not using it disables the relief valve. I wonder why the Prince instructions consider the PB sleeve optional....

Thanks, but you're hardly any better off than I am, being only able to get in on one side. I'd like them routed so I can use both.

His takeoff but down the center along the side/top of the transmission. Of you want really neat and professional use steel tube for most of the run.

Finally getting back to this. TOHokie, the 3rd hose to be added you say to take from the ""T" port to the hydrauluc filler. "

From the Prince document, T-port hose is supposed to go to the tank.

From my L275 Op manual, this is what I find that looks to be what both you and Prince are referring to, but the terms are different, so I'm just double checking. Are the return ports what you're calling the hydraulic filler?

Not positive but that return port looks to be fine for use with your valve. Take the forward one out and verify it just dumps into the hydraulic sump.

Your pressure supply and pressure return are coming from the two ports on the block up front.

Block up front? The two pressure lines currently go behind my seat and connect to this block under my seat and on the left. For reference, the rear return port I showed earlier can be seen at the bottom far left of this picture.

@timsch just to clarify and explain some of the terms
There is often a “tank” in hydraulic systems. On your tractor that “tank” is the transmission case also called the transmission sump. Basically the “tank” is where the fluid sits in a somewhat large quantity and waiting to get pumped out. So tank return is the path to return fluid to the tank. That can be done with really any hole into the tank (usually above the fluid level). Most ol tractors lacked good ports to dum the fluid into the transmission so often people had to use the filler hole (red plastic(?) plug) as the tank return port. Your tractor was generous and actually has three holes (ports) to use as the tank return point.

”port” is often used to describe a threaded hole that has a flat surface to seal the hole.
”boss” is about the same as port but usually sticks out from the surface

hope that helps some and isn’t annoying
