Morning All
I have a L3410 HST. The other day (-25C) I started it up. Left it running around 1600 rpm. About ten minutes later I notice a huge puddle of hyd oil on the ground under the engine. Oil was everywhere, like the fan had blown it all over the engine. The tractor has a small oil cooler in front of the rad. I cleaned everything up. Put 20 litres of new oil in. Cleaned the road, neighbours drive, did everything I could think of. Not a drop of oil anywhere.
For the life of me I can't figure out why it dumped it all the other day.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
I have had this tractor for 4 years and never lost a drop of anything. It is an awesome machine.
Thanks for the help.

Dave:rolleyes:

First thing that comes to my mind is a cold weather leak. My old Cat loader would go all summer and not leak a drop but when it turned cold it had small leaks everywhere. After the machine got warm they would quit leaking till the next morning.

Like Bulldog said, cold weather causes things to shrink. Once you got it cleaned up, wipe hoses, base of filters, ect. with a paper towels. Then start it up and watch, see if you can come to any determination of where it might be coming from. Probably just need to tighten something 1/16 of a turn to make it quit!!

WHAT HE SAID !!! ^^^^^

Next cold morning, repeat your start up and then WATCH and see where she is leaking, it will give you a good idea where to apply the wrench! :D:)
