I recently had a hyd hose start dripping on the FEL. Its on the side where you enter the cab. It never moves its just a connection hose I guess. Its about 14" long. I removed it and my hired man said well thats a $50. bill. I said I'm guessing like $36. bucks. Its 14".
I went to the local CarQuest to get it made up. $64. Holy S. I know my hired man has an old john deere like 1980's . He has hoses that run from the rear all the way forward. Like 10' long. That must be $500. ??
I know everythings gone up. Its very discouraging. 20210723_095638 Hyd Hose.jpg

There are guys on YouTube fixing up old bulldozers and spending 10 times that amount or more on a hydraulic hose. I was shocked myself.

Sadly, everything is pricey now.

Hydraulic hose places are usually not cheap, but some are much more reasonable than others, and it does not hurt to call around and ask for a quote. There is one hydraulic shop I have used and their prices are not that bad. That 90 degree fitting adds a bit to the price too.

Ordering them online can be much cheaper, but you probably don't want to wait a week or two to receive it just to save $10 or $20, and you have to make extra sure what fittings you need, because there are many.

That hose would cost me about $15 to make:

FJX90-06-08 hose end: $8
FJX-06-08 hose end: $4
12" R16 hose : $3

Carquest probably gets better prices than I do so you paid about $50 for 10 to 15 minutes labor. Of course the hose crimper cost them $3K+ and they pay rent on the store....
