My Daughter recently purchased a home. I picked up a nice used Husky riding mower for her and SIL. They don't move in for a few weeks yet so I used the Husky a few times just to make sure everything is AOK! Yeah...I know some refuse to cut grass with their Kubota's and insist on getting it done using a cheap rider. Well the Husky works as it should and doesn't need anything! (Good for me!) :D I will say this! After cutting grass with the BX23S for the past almost 5 years I will not and could never go back to using a rider of any brand! The comfort, room, ride and mostly the power steering of the Kubota has me spoiled! Kind of like the difference in driving a Cadillac and a go cart! LOL! The expensive Kubota mower deck....Well worth the money! Its a pleasure cutting with the Kubota and a chore to use the rider!

My view too. The rider I had for a while was a quite expensive one. Still nowhere near as good as the BX I bought - once I had the BX the rider stayed parked. The B2601 is better still. And the deck is bullet proof. Arguably the cut isn't quite as good. But my lawn isn't a golf course anyway.

Riders and zero turns are not equal. I have a Dixie Chopper and the speed, maneuverability and quality of cut are second to none. I don’t have a BX but my neighbor does. Wouldn’t trade for my chopper. Now if you are talking a simple riding mower or lawn tractor you have my vote for the BX.

ive been on the fence for a while now and have kinda been searching for a used mid mount for my bx. i have to do some repairs to my 60' 3pt finishing mower so i borrowed my buddies JD ride on. (140 series hydrostatic) it cut great, but you are bang on about the power steering and comfort of using a tractor!

I have been cutting 3 1/2 acres for the past 4 yrs. with my b2601 and 60” mmm it was such a rough ride I would have to put an ice pack on my lower back afterwards. Bought a Z422 with 54” deck, suspension seat , will never cut grass with the tractor again !
