Bear starts here in my neck of the woods in a couple days.

I don't have hounds or hunt bear, but I let others hunt our land if I know them. I know them. We hang out.

Bear meat is excellent.

Brassicas and clover just about ready for bow season in a couple weeks. Then the fence comes down.

Odd for us yankees to see dove hunting on sporting shows or talked about. Every day I have at least 50 doves at my bird feeders.

I did see on YouTube a Maine bear hunt recently they bagged one 501 lbs using hounds. Bear was so big it tree climbing days were over.

lol. Cant hunt from baited areas/feeders because of migratory game laws.

I'm gonna head out in about an hour, hoping for a repeat of this in less than 90min.
