Hi everyone & thank you for allowing me to join this forum.

I have a Kubota HST T 1600 2 cylinder diesel mower, i believe a Z482 engine, i ran it onto my flat bed trailer and moved it perhaps 5 miles, it started with a struggle when i took it off 7 then 15 mins later wouldnt start, i can hear the electric fuel pump running, i took the rubber hose off the bottom of the fuel filter near the inj pump, with ign on little or no fuel, takes approx 1 minute to refill the filter. Please does anyone know if there are 2 fuel filters, the engine is trying to fire with black smoke, im sure the pump should deliver more fuel, also tips on bleeding the fuel system if as i believe i am going to have to replace the pump unless there is another filter somewhere. Thanks in advance.

Pull the fuel line to the inlet of the fuel pump and see if the inlet is getting fuel, could be something obstruction flow out of the tank.

Take the whole fuel system back on step at a time till you find the restriction.

Once you fix the restriction, set the throttle to high, crack the fuel injection lines at the injectors, crank in short intervals till clean bubble free fuel comes out the connection tighten and go.

Thank you for your reply, helped a lot, unfortunately this is what i have found, removed seat etc & lo & behold found a primary fuel filter hidden under there, i have paid a garden machinery specialist to service this for years, the date on this filter is the same as the year of manufacture !
So, went & purchased a new inline filter & the fuel delivery is amazing & the pump works beautifully. Bled the fuel line at the injection pump inlet & did as you said, throttle to max, loosen both injector pipes at the injectors, i seem to be getting little fuel , tried to blank off the pipe which connects to the injectors, i have no pressure at all or air bubbles, small quantity of fuel comes out, i am thinking perhaps the injection plungers could have been damaged, so disappointed, never had this trouble to bleed injection pipes, are the injectors screwed in ?
