I am looking at possibly buying a L4330 with HST. When I took it around the yard for a test driver I noticed that when you push forward on the pedal you will continue to go forward even when you remove your foot. Is that normal, or should it return to zero?

My HST on my BX24 sometimes does that as well. When it starts to act up I grease the peddle zert in the floorboard. Problem solved for awhile. I don't know if your model has the same zert available.

Hope that helps

It should return to center.

Ok thanks guys. I will look into the pedal grease zert when I go and look at it again on Friday. Could there be any other reason for this issue other than a sticky pivot point?

I have MX5100, when I remove my foot from the pedal it stops. There is a lever on my left that is like a cruise control lever. Don't know if you have that as well, but I would make sure that it is not engaged.

After reading the answers which are good, I will add my two cents. My will do this also. It is cold weather. You are in WI and I am in Vermont. Some of the answers are from the south part of the country. This will be slow to go back to center and the more grease in cold weather will be more slow to center. Try spraying some Marvel Mystery Oil or something like that. It will free right up.

I live in Michigan and once it got cold I noticed that my HST pedal didn't always return to the true neutral position. But my Kubota mechanic told me to keep it lubricated with Chain Lube. I give it a quick spray every now and then and its been PERFECT even in subzero weather.

Good Luck.
