I read somewhere to use a spray lubricant on my 2017 mx5200 HST pedal, to keep it free.
It sticks. When I take weight off of seat it dies. The spray had a name of Rapid or had 3 letters in the name. I know that it can be found on Amazon. I just can remember what it is. Can anyone help with this???

It's not the pedal that's causing you problem, your seat has a safety switch under it. As soon as you take your weight off the seat the switch will kill the motor. As far as lubricant just about any brand name will do the trick

My 2018 MX4800 has the same problem. It won't start half the time because the pedal does not return to the center, neutral position well. I have to money with it. I've also noticed leaning off the seat can cause the engine to die but that is because of the safety switch. I will likely override that.

I'll try to find a way to lube the HST treadle pedal.

I think he mean that the pedal is sticking in a forward or reverse position so when he does not have his foot on the pedal it dies when he gets up.

Besides the pedal sticking it could be the HST switch is out of adjustment.

Just about any rust breaking lube will do it like Kroil or PB blaster, I've had very good luck with Tri-flow for general parts lubrication.
