HST creeping adjustment issue

The conversation was about both issues, you replied to my comment about the seat switch and even quoted it. The HST switch contacts a lever that pivots. Manual says to loosen the "one bolt" that is in a slot and "move the lever until the wheel stops." See previous diagrams. Loosened bolt but lever does not move, even when prying on it. Looks like nobody here as ever adjusted this and probably just took it in to their dealer.

Whitetiger is a long time dealer service tech. I suspect he has adjusted a few....

Been on the forum 13 days and complaining he doesn't get service he'd expect from his dealer!

I appreciate the help, I really do, but no one has explained why the lever does not move after I loosen the bolt like the WSM says. Whitetiger says to move the switch:
"Loosen the two mounting screws and see if the mounting holes are slots as the switch could be moved closer or farther from the contact plate".... this is not how the manual says to do it. I'm not going to pull the wheel off just to check if the switch itself is adjustable, why would the lever and switch both be adjustable, doesn't make sense.
I just feel that in this format the message does not get articulated so I will be going in to speak to a mechanic in person.

I have never adjusted this mechanism but I am sure Whitetiger has.

The bracket is clearly notched - seems pretty obvious that it is some sort of positive lock and does not just slide. You have your hands and eyeballs on it - cant imagine its hard to see whats engaging the notches. Perhaps this job is just above your pay grade....

Some people find that it is easier to keep asking questions until they find the answer that they like than it is to jack up the rear of the tractor, remove 5 bolts or nuts to remove the tire, and put their eyes on the problem to resolve it. Long before there was an internet to look up solutions or to find a wealth of knowledge people were forced to either learn how to resolve problems, or pay someone else to repair them. Today we have a whole army of internet warriors that can type but don't understand the spoken language or the printed word. This is why we are in such a nanny state today!

I have not worked on a tractor that matches yours. I have been to the dealership where whitetiger shows up daily. When I went back to the shop to visit with him he was very aware of various tractors. I asked him questions about one tractor and the person with me asked him about a much different model. He knew the answers for both of us.

I'm just saying don't be critical of any answers, at least until you know who is providing the answer. Maybe your statement of the problem is not worded adequately.

FYI I had the wheel off, twice, the adjustment bolt takes a long extension just to get to it, barely get a finger on it but thanks for your input you clearly don't know anything about it, not sure why you are even commenting.

I wasn't being critical and I know Whitetiger knows about Kubotas. I know nothing about them but I am pretty handy. Just trying to use the WSM and it's not very clear. I don't want to loose the position of the lever completely then it will be an expensive trip to the dealer.

People are on here trying to understand you and what you are trying to accomplish and help you, and all you want to do it tell them they don't know what they are talking about????

You don't have a one of a kind, No one has ever see it tractor.
It's a run of the mill BX23S
@whitetiger has probably fixed or adjusted thousands of that exact tractor.

I don't know f it's related but every time I push the pedal in reverse the tractor stalls for a second, this is on flat ground.

This statement you made is the EXACT reason @whitetiger said to adjust the SWITCH!
He KNOWS what he talking about!

@whitetiger can you explain to him why he can’t get the slotted part to move? I cut a photo from his other thread (not sure it is the correct part shown in that since it was posted by someone else).

He has stated that he can’t move that even if the bolt is very loose. The picture in @North Idaho Wolfman post shows a similar looking part. What are the slots for? Is there some sort of locking pin involved in the slot to keep it located?

Or are they for using as a pry point?

I doubt that anyone wants to help him any longer. The expression that comes to mind is "You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar". When you offend 2 moderators with way more experience than almost any other person on the forums and then go after a few well-known and respected members of the forums, I doubt that is going to win you any friends. It isn't my place to tell mcox8051 where to go, but I sure would like to. Possibly he can get help from TBN. I know that I wouldn't want him posting on my forum!
