He'd probably say 'screw it' , my 1st reply ... then figure out to add MORE screws as 'studs' for Winter use on ice !

Mine looked like that the moment the tractor rolled off the trailer onto the ground. Not even 4 months and already replacing a tire.

Scm.. you might consider replacing all with R14s... they 'should' be available south of the 49th as they are up here in Ontario. On my 3rd set of front R4s, 2nd set of rears in 6 years

but not ONE real reason.
Fine, here is one perfectly valid reason NOT to put a drywall, or as a matter of fact, any type of screw into the tyre:

the densitiy of steel is way higher than the density of rubber. So at speeds of, say 200 miles per hour and beyond the imbalance would be way too high and do damage to the wheel bearings, steering linkages, seat suspension (if any) and the spine of the driver.

Good morning OTTer's - Thanks for the thoughtful / spirited responses. In addition to the vulcanizing cement, I did locate the black rubber version of super glue. I'll test first on some scrap rubber and let everyone know how things turn out. Good to learn of the R14 option as well.

Use the tractor moving some rocky material and eventually it will wear off!
