I have a L2201DT, which I believe is similar to the USA L245DT. I have had a hydraulic fluid leak and lost some transmission/hydraulic oil, and need to check the level to find how much needs topping up.
I have a copy of the L245DT manual, which says there is a sight glass near the clutch pedal, but on my tractor there is no such thing. I read in another topic that a square shaped nut near the clutch pedal also serves as a level gauge (fill up until oil starts to flow out the hole), but I only have two six-sided nuts in this area. I have attached a pic.
Does anybody know how to check the transmission oil level on this tractor, and if it is by one of the two nuts near the clutch pedal, is it the fore or aft nut?
Any recommendations on a readily available oil in Australia to use?
